Don't Sugarcoat It

Updated: Aug 2

It’s been almost eight months since Fruition Organics hit the scene with our organic drinks. Week after week, we’ve participated in local pop-up markets and events, with the main goal of providing a delicious, quality, versatile, and nutritious beverage. We are extremely grateful for the support, advice, constructive feedback, and encouragement we’ve received along the way. Throughout this time, we’ve been asked many questions, and one of the most frequently asked questions (and my personal favorite) is, “What kind of sweetener is used in Fruition Organic drinks?" The short and long answer is NONE, but here’s why.

There are many drinks on the market that contain added sugars. In fact, according to research, sugary drinks are the leading source of added sugars in the American diet. Added sugar is often disguised on nutrition labels using terms like “dextrose” “high fructose corn syrup” “maltose” “sucrose” “fruit juice concentrate” “brown sugar” “agave” “cane sugar” “honey” "molasses" and the list goes on and on. Be on the lookout for the “added sugars” section on nutrition labels when purchasing your drinks.

Consuming drinks with too much added sugar may put you at a higher risk for: tooth decay, unhealthy weight gain, increased cholesterol and triglycerides, diabetes, high blood pressure, inflammation and many other unwanted diseases.

At Fruition Organics, we don’t add any sugar or synthetic flavors to our drinks because REAL fruits (and some vegetables) are naturally sweet. Our drinks are delicious without all of that added sugar, and filled with vitamins, minerals, and nutrients that we all need to thrive. Not to mention, they are served in glass bottles, and in the words of my grandmother (who just turned 96 years old) everything taste better in glass!

Pay close attention to your intake of added sugars so you don’t overdue it, and if you haven’t tried Fruition Organics yet what are you waiting for? Treat yourself and you won’t be disappointed.
